Description:

This data visualization shows the inequalities in access to health care that has the Quellon district (on the island of Chiloe, Southern Chile), compared to another districts located near Santiago, the capital city. These inequities are one of many examples of the huge territorial inequalities in Chile. In this case, Quellon people raised, demanding more doctors in the area and better medical care.

The bottom call to action in this graphics -in addition to show the tremendous gap- is a call for a “New Regional Agenda”, seeking for better opportunities for non-metropolitan territories of Chile.
