The Cartagena Data Festival will be taking place in Colombia from 20-22 April.
It's jointly organised by a number of groups, including ODI, Africa Gathering, CEPEI, Data-Pop Alliance, PARIS21, UNDP and UNFPA. The key objective: to solve critical gaps in coverage, access and analysis of data, thereby contributing to the global effort to drive progress in the post-2015 agenda.
The On Think Tanks Data Visualisation Competition will be launching this year's compilation at the event and will also be participating in a number of ways. The event has an evening celebration of data art and its own competition hosted by HDRO, with winning visualisation projected on the old castle walls of Cartagena.
